Unfortunately for financial reasons I'm contemplating selling my Checkmate and I'm just wondering if it's worth it or am I going to toatally loose my a@@ on it....

It's a 1993 Checkmate 230 Enforcer. 254 total hours on the boat. 74 hours on a professionally built 509 making 595hp on the dyno. It has Keith Eickert exhaust, GGB mufflers with turndowns, XS performance twin ram full hydraulic steering, and Insta trim trim tabs. It has run a best of 79 mph so far with a labbed 28 pitch Bravo prop. It also has a 1000 watt stereo with (4) 8" Bazooka marine speakers... the Trailer has 5 new alluminum rims with Goodyear radial tires...

Now the bad stuff......

The engine cover sunpad needs to be redone, the wood inside is all rotted and the rear seat has a small tear on the top of it about 1" long...

The stripes in the gelcoat are a bit dull and need to be wet sanded and buffed.

All in all it's a VERY solid older boat.

Well, I have my house for sale, My Motorhome for sale, and my wife looking for a job.....

Hopefully something will go soon, selling the boat would be a LAST resort and is tough to do in Wisconsin in the winter :( ........

The engine + KE's are worth 12K.......

Doug, if ya gotta sell the Check try and find a stock 7.4 and switch engines. Unfortunately, the bigger power probably won't bring much more $$. Might even make it harder to sell :(

Yes, I've heard this a few times......

I was hoping for maybe 18-20K from it but I'm probably just being a bit optimistic...... It would definately take a LOT more than that for me to duplicate it again.....

We'll see what happens....

Thanks,

Doug
