My Super Hots 60 had been sitting in my office for about 10 or 12 years. Absolutely covered {more like caked} with dust. Wife said "why don't you clean up your office". Then she proceeded to remove the plane from my office and stick in my basement play room. Comes back up stairs, and tells me what a slob I am...bla, bla, bla......And reminds me of how I used to pamper my toy planes. I said ok fine, see ya later.
Haven't flown this plane {or any of the others} for about 12 years now. I spent about 3 hours cleaning it up. Took the engine off, took it apart, cleaned and reassembled and re-oiled it. Charged the batteries, cleaned the connections to batteries and servos, checked control surfaces, etc. Radio is +,-20 years old so probably need a new one.
I have about another dozen or so engines {well oiled, packed and stored}, 2 kits about 1/2 - 3/4 of the way done, 2 planes in parts {crashed 'em}, and 2 or 3 more that with some TLC {+ engine and radio} will fly again.
What have the rest of you guys got for RC toys, and do you play with them any more?
