Yes he is a fatass. this was a local poker run so to many people taking pics. no stripers on this one. what happens on away runs stays away! james. what power is in your avs richard?

600 dpx very nice setup. my buddy last year traded his for a 02 38 avs. i liked it alot very smooth and fast 91mph on gps one time i was on it 3 guys and 1/2 tank but he had problems throwing blades 3 times have you had any problems?

When the boat is equiped with the standard E4 props I have no problems. When I have the stock props cupped, rebalanced, blueprinted, and thinned by Bronson Props in Calforina I have to watch them all the time. The smaller outside props tend to get stress cracks and will eventually break up if you run them hard with the 560 hp the 600s throw out. In earlier model years wellcraft fitted the boat with the bronson props right from the factory. I don't know if your friend was running stock or not.

Its all custom paint, its a 1989. I painted it last winter myself. winters are long and cold and I had nothing better to do.

The place I bought my Scarab from Pacific Marine Center in Madera CA has a ad in Power Boat Mag that says they are selling Team Scarab boats

Hi everyone, i found this site by accident while looking for info on the Wellcraft-Larry Smith 'split' and read a couple posts and found out that there seems to be somthing in the works with Pacific Marine in CA.
Anyone know anything else about the breakup? I see you can still get the Scarab CC '29 '32 '35. Maybe they were not part of the original line, hate to see those go.
I have owned 3 Scarab's over the years (26 Sprint CC
31 Viper, & currently a 2000 30 Sport).
It would really be ashame if we were'nt able to purchase these boats from a local dealer, and in a variety of size or style like Wellcraft was able to provide.
Somthing Smith i dont think will ba able to provide unless he hooks up with another mass producer.
Oh well life goes on... Rob.
