Hey blackboat , did you ever get my return email about the scoop??
Sorry , My computor was having major glitch . Just had it fixed Friday. I am considering a new dry exhaust system which will change my existing hatch completely and I may need the lower hood scoop. I will let you know if I go a different way with it.

This is a great thread! Its nice to know there is so much interest in microboats. I used to run with about a dozen other microboats almost every evening . I used to spot fast boats with my binoculars and head to the ramp for some hot races! The powers to be all but shut us down by installing a 35mph speed limit in our river!!

Well, made our second trip out!! Made a couple short mid 70's bursts!! Boat feels really good..........almost too good to be true!! Still not too comfortable with all of the boat/jetski traffic here!!!!! A bunch of cruisers heading in for the day didn't help either!!!!

That being said, I have a new/old problem. I had a problem with the boat going into neutral when backing off of the throttle. I just assumed it was a problem with the hand control and going with the Hotfoot would kill two birds with one stone and I would not have that problem!!! Well, guess what.......when I let off of the throttle completely it still goes into neutral!!! I had the hand control all the way down as it is only a shifter now!!!!! Any suggestions?? I know the cable is good, I just wonder if it is not adjusted right somewhere???!!! I haven't even looked at it yet. I will take a few minutes tomorrow and chck it out!!

BTW, I wish I would have put a pedal in it a long time ago!!!!!!!! :D

Good to hear bro  .. I know its hard to get a good run in with traffic and boat wakes  Better safe then sorry. Sorry don't have any idea what your shifter problem is :p: ;) I never throttle down :D :laugher: My only guess is adjustment, like when you put it in gear, it might only be in gear half way or so maybe? So when get off it hard it might just slip out? I would have someone run the shifter while you looked under the drive where the upper and lower come together to see if that lever puts the lower in forward/reverse fully or not... just my .02 :D sorry if this just alot of rambling.. I am still in la la land.. ever pack the boat up, drag it home in the rain just to get home to service the little lady :laugher:

The jetski traffic is how I realized the problem was still there!! I thought that I had him.............and by the look on his face.........he did too!! Pretty screwed up how they act like they own the water!!! They should also be made to paint all of the rental boats/jetskis they have here Flourescent Green so you know to stay far away!!! I would love to be back on the open waters of the Ches. Bay!!!! Sorry for venting..............

Glad you made it another weekend as well!! Save your money and buy a Mech. Secondary carb!!! :bandit: I really think it would help you out!! Just my .02!!

2nd time in 8 yrs I have got stuck in the rain with my boat on the way home.. god its like a person puttin a knife in your stomach!! I just kills me!! AAHHH I hate water getting in my boat!!!!!
I know the feeling,... :(
And I use a cockpit cover, so the insides stay dry and keeps stray cig. butts from going in, but I Still hate trailering it in the rain.... road water is way too dirty.

My cockpit cover is bright yellow... so you know what it looks like when after some road grime gets on it yuck! Even with a cover on I still hate my boat gettin wet :laugher:

Anyone have any input on a prop for my boat.

I have a 94 22' Baja Caliber. Almost identical to a Baja Hammer. Boat has what I think is a stock 350mag with a Holley 600DP carb and GLM manifolds. Currently running a 19p mirage I can spin it to 5600.

I am lookin for a Laser II 21p but I found a shop that has a brand new 22p Laser II with hub kit for about half the list price.

Does anyone think the 22p is too much prop for my boat?

bm250r, going by pitch alone, the 22 should put you around 5000 rpm which would be ideal. There are other factors such as diameter..........

Don't know what props that hull likes either, sorry.........Maybe someone else can help out in that department!!
