Just curious, do you have a Homeowners Association? If so have the hassled you? We have all sorts of covenants and rules, I ignore the ones that tell me what I can or can not do on the property that I paid for. Our HOA has learned the hard way to leave me alone. I do keep my property in tip-top condition, but I will not ask their permission to paint or re-roof etc...I am not supposed to work on a vehicle or boat in my driveway for more than a couple of hours---I just shake my head and go back to working on it when they come to bother me.

Their best one is telling me I can not park in the street. We are not gated, we do not own the streets---the city does! All I have to do is follow city ordinances. I cured the HOA of harassing me by parking all eight of my vehicles at the curb whenever they complained about a car(usually one of the kids friends) in front of the house.

Anyway, your project is looking great. I have done similar customizations, it is a lot of work but very satisfying. Keep up with the pictures.
Yeah we have an HOA and surprisingly they haven't said anything. It might help that the VP lives across from me and I know him and the Pres is a fellow quad rider :laugher:

Again we also deal with the no parking thing. No gate and the city also owns the street. They have a third party watch organization that will go around and put tickets on the cars if on the street overnight.

Thanks and your absolutely correct. When I am done no one will be able to tell it's a 17 year old boat.

Great Job, What color are you going to paint it?

I think you need to drop in a turn key SB, lose the blower on that old motor idea, sounds like trouble.
Something like this picture. I already have my gauges coming in. They are Livorsi with a lime ring and a mustard bezel. Then the dash is going to have a carbon fiber look to it. The control sticks are going to be lime sticks with a mustard base.

I'm building this boat to gain experience for the next boat I build. Doing the blower motor will add to that experience and it'll have some wow factor to it when I pop the hatch and they see a tricked out v6 that will run with the small v8's

Does your city ordinance allow parking overnight? What kind of "tickets" do they put on the car? Law Enforcement very rarely will gets involved over parking in neighborhoods. Who is the third party? Are the streets posted no overnight parking?

If you have not figured it out yet, I like "Playing with my food!"! I do my research, have the facts to back me up and then let them hang themselves with their "Opinions".

Pictures, we need pictures!!!! :D

Hey Qaudracr,

Looks like you have been busy! Can't wait too see her in person. Are you going to make the Chilli Cookoff on Sunday? :D
Oh yeah, wouldn't miss it. My Arizona family will be there :D Besides being able to boat and do cook outs in Jan is why I moved here :laugher:
I think I am going to bring my RC truck and my pocket bike to play with.

dvx and sun - I'll tell you like I tell all my fellow boaters. Mi casa is su casa. You guys want a vacation, air fare is cheap and you can stay with the wife and I and we'll point you in all the good directions. Besides we might want to take a trip to Michigan (in the summer of course) and having friends to stay with is always a bonus. :D

It hasn't come down to this yet, but I definately think like you do. I will research the hell out of something and come to the fight loaded for war. :rambo:

Like I said they have been cool with me so I haven't the need to go this far. Our lease is up the first of Feb and were going to look for a house with some land and an rv gate to buy. Hopefully everything will work out.
