I get nervous as he!! docking our boat. It's not big comared to what most of you guys have. But I just about sweat bullets pulling up to a dock.
I've found that, as I get older :unhappy1: it's not as easy climbing out the cuddy/hatch or jumping over the wind shield as it used to be, to get to the front cleat to tie on a fender. So I rigged up little pully systems on each side of the boat that go from the center cleats to the front cleats. Before approaching the dock I reach over the side of the wind shield and tie a fender to the pully line, then pull the fender up to the front cleat. It works great! Getting fenders on the center cleat and rear are easy. But, I have "parked" a little harder than I would have liked to a few times
Anyone have any tricks or advise on docking a single?? Any interesting or bad experiences??
