I think you have the analogy correct, I wouldn't expect it, we don't see it very often and when we do its something very special as in the case with you..

All of the women I know (admittedly all 3 of them) drive their boats. The one is still learning. She was on a boat for one summer, decided she loved it and bought a Donzi (cruiser type).

The other one is in a category all her own. I met her at Lake St. Clair a few weeks ago. She's got an Eliminator that does about 120 and she drives that think like its meant to be driven! She's pulled the motors, put new ones in. She knows her sh!t very very well.

The other one I just know from online. She's got an Outlaw in Kansas and I know she always drives her boat. I believe she just had a blower motor put in it and helped as much as she could with that process.

In my humble opinion, the girls that do take the initive to buy boats enjoy running them. Being female, its very easy to tag along with other people. If you buy your own, that means you want to run it
