I've owned both.
H2X is a great lake boat, but with a shallow deadrise it doesn't ride as good in rough stuff as the 25 O/L.

H2X is a fast, fun boat to drive. Actually, so is the 25, but the 25 with a 24 degree deadrise will cut through the chop better, and is a heavier boat so will ride better also. But both boats are excellent boats.

The 25 will be a little slower than the H2X with the same power.

I wouldn't own either boat with a 310hp 7.4. You want a mag or better, and prefferably a 502 mag or better for the outlaw.

Personally, I like the bolsters on the 25, although there is not quite as much room in the cockpit of the 25 as there is the H2X. The cuddy is larger and easier to ingress/egress on the 25.

In summation, both are great boats as far as I'm concerned.

The H2x is faster, hands down.

The 25 is better for bigger water.

Both are great boats.

If you go towards the H2x, you'll need at least a Magnum or HO series motor. This will get you well beyond 70 mph.

If you go towards the 25, you'll need at least the 496 mag HO or the 502 Mag. This will get you to the mid 60's.

In the middle of Indiana you have to be on a smaller lake so I would think you would be ok with an H2X. If you plan on big power go with the Outlaw.
I did head gaskets on an H2X with the Mag and a Prochrger,,, the boat is scary at 90. You definatly have to know how to drive it.

Hi Mark! The season is approaching, things are getting crazy. If you go to Conroe, post a thread. Maybe we can get a group to meet out there. Your boat sounds like it's performing well. My guess is 76 mph, maybe 77 mph with chop and some good luck.
