I used to work a lot of overtime when I was younger, to try to get nice things and have some security.

All that is gone now, and I work... not so much.

But two things I have learned:

If you aren't there, being with your kids and teaching your kids, they will be with someone else and learning things other, than want you want them to. This can lead to way bigger problems than you ordinarily imagine.

Significant Others like the money that extra work provides, but they cannot tolerate, very well, your being gone a bunch extra (regardless of what they say/think about it), to get it. This translates into, at the least, a less than smooth homelife (when you are able to be home), and at worst, you lose him/her and pretty much every thing else (kids included, if applicable; you become sorta just a distant uncle), that you have, anyway.

Normally I work about 40 and go home. Unfortunately we had to fire one person and other quit so I've been working 60 hour weeks. I wouldn't mind so much, but I'm salary and do not get overtime pay

Well, I did 5 years ago when I retired and it drove me nuts!

If I didn't have stress in my life, I'd find a place to buy some!

Yep, I answered 0 hours and that is true. But I earned it, no one gave it to me. I worked hard and played hard and I will die early so I am taking my time now. No need to pour drinks down my throat, I did well enough on my own and quit a couple of years ago. But I will accept your friendship and have a drink (mine will be water) with you.

And no, you (" El Presidante") are not "special". I feel the same about all the people I have met here on Speedwake. :bigsmile: :bigsmile: And that includes Mosi! I sure do miss him in the corner. :unhappy1: :unhappy1:

I like my toys 60 +hours

Our schedule gets us every other Friday off.
We work 9 hours a day for four days, then 8 hours one Friday and the next Friday we're off for a three day weekend. Been at this schedule for several years now. We love it.

A lot! Sometimes up to 80-90 during the racing season. BUT I keep great company so it isn't so bad. I really enjoy myself at the races!

m-f 75 hrs weekends 15- 20 those are winter hrs... come summer i work 45 between the 7 days gotta have time for the toys in good weather...

Started new jobby job on 2-06 and first day off was yesterday. 43hrs overtime these last 2 weeks.
