I think it will take me a little to get used to the twins....I have heard that once you do it is easier docking. I also have to install the drivers bolster. In my garage right now.

I have a small lake near Reading, also will come down to the Chesapeak and the Del River a few times a year. My friend has a slip at Neschaminy??State Park.

I don't want to insult the Formula lovers here, but, has anyone ever swapped out the fiberglass swim platform for an offshore (tubular) style bolt on?

On some formulas the platforms look like afterthoughts.

 

jrapp nice boat i boat at curtin marine gas dock on delaware river . 2 min from your buddy . we go to city and hang out at cove . your buddy probady gets gas at my marine stop in.

Are you talking about Blue Marsh? I use to go up there with an 18' Four Winns...I have been hesitant to take my Superboat up there...it is a small lake. The Formula looks nice and you will really like the twins when it comes to docking.

Nice boat jrapp. good luck with it. when you come down to the delaware river let me know. I use the river every now and then. also go to want to get down to the CB. Only been to the Chesapeake Inn on the Canal so far. Also boat down the Jersey Shore out of Sea Isle.

 

Nice find If your talking bout blue marsh we were up there last summer a little small with the 30'. But we just went from single to twin and it does take a little getting uesd to. but worth it in the end

It will take less time than you may think and you are correct on the docking comment! :bigsmile:

 

Good luck with the new ride. I had an '87 242-SR1 with twin 350's also. It is nice package.

 

Congrats I gave this boat some thought, I gotta tell you the seller made it sound alot worse to me, any more int pics? do the motors run? he said they didnt run real good, and needed "tuning"
