if that was the silver ish one, it was in the well at our boat barn all weekend. it is very sweet. you would know the name of the owner. lol.
we are missing this weekend, heading down to cedar point. plan on heading out sunday afternoon, but no boating. cc week should be a blast. my brother inlaw is coming in sunday night from vegas, and a good friend of mine tommymonza is coming up from fla on thursday. oh boy it is going to be some weekend. plan on being out fireworks saturday, and maybe sunday if i have the steam. here's hoping for some big roller waves.

I'm sure that is the one. How many 75 Pershings visit the Grand Haven waters. You will have to whisper me the name of the owner via my Email :). I heard Tiger Woods has his yacht for sale if you are interested LOL! You could use the Cig as a dingy!

I like Harbor Island boat launch the best. You pay $10 to dump the boat, but there are a lot of launches and ample parking. Whatever launch you go to on Coast Guard weekend, it will be busy. unless you get a pass to use Baron's private launch site ;)

We are thinking about launching from Port Sheldon and watching the fireworks from the lake, not the channel. Once the fireworks are done, we can motor south instead of dealing with the insanity of Grand Haven/Spring Lake. You can always anchor in one of the bayous in Spring Lake for the night. We have done that in the past.

Thanks Steve, this Saturday looks like a perfect day for boating. I'm not sure what direction I'm heading this weekend. I'd like to check out Whitehall or go up by Silver Lake? I'll have to see what the crew is up for?? If you're going to be out maybe I'll head south, I've never been much past G.H. so maybe checking out Port Sheldon or Holland might also be an option. Let me know if you want to go rip around somewhere.

Todd, I was thinking about towing my boat down to G.H. for C.G. Fest next weekend. Where's the best place to launch? It looks like the big launch by the bridge is crazy busy on a average weekend!! is there any others? I'd like to stay for the fireworks but don't want to take Lake MI. back to Muskegon at night.
jim like steve said harbor island is nice. i think there is 6 ramps and 3 docks. that is the one in the channel. i've used pettys bayou before that one is nice but it is small. you would need to be there early. it is on the east side of spring lake, 2/3's of the way south. maybe fruitport on the north end of spring lake, but that would be a long ride back. maybe call barretts boat works in spring lake, they have a ramp in there. that is just past the 104 bridge at oh boy's going into spring lake on the east.

Thanks, I'll figure something out this weekend. I'm sure the water is nice and brown in Spring Lake right now after all this rain. It looks like you're picking a good weekend to take off!!

It looks like we're just heading down to G.H. to hang out for the day. Have fun everyone, it's another perfect Michigan summer day.
We sure have been lucky the last few summers, this weather is awesome!!! :sun3:

We were out there all day Friday and it was real nice.
Took a ride down to Port Sheldon and washed the boat in Pigeon Lk. Then shot back up to GH and hung out at the pier and watched the kids jump. Then shot up to Muskegon for awhile and then went home. We were going to go back out today but the weather has gone bad. Good day to shop for a new gas grill.

It was a perfect day to be out on the water, it cleared up after 1:30pm then it was awesome the rest of the day. I hope everyone stayed dry and had a good time.

PICS??
We cleared up too, more like 3-4 pm
Got hot and steamy quick
Hope the fireworks went well out there
Was there enough rain early on to keep the hill from catching fire?
The lil' intermissions while the fire gets doused is always a little bit of a drag:)

We started out day on Saturday tubing down the Muskegon River in the rain and ended it on the boat watching the fireworks on the boat. The fireworks were great! Getting the boat out was no problem. Getting out of Grand Haven was terrible! I think Grand Haven Saftey Department needs a lesson in traffic control. We did a lot of sitting on 31 trying to get through town. All in all busy day! Now I need to go back to work to rest ;)

Sorry, I forgot the camera. I just got a Go-Pro so hopefully I'll be able to get some running shots soon if I can figure this damn thing out LOL!! If any of you guys want me to take some video of you running flag me down. I hope to try it out this weekend, I just thought it was too cool so I had to get one before hot boat. Man it's scary to think it's only 4 weeks away!!

Saturday looks like rain, so we are thinking about going out on Sunday. It would be in the afternoon. I guess we'll see what the weather brings..... I wish you had the camera last year when we were running back to Muskegon!
