last one.
I need another coat so I have to go get another can tomorrow but this stuff sprays out great!
I could not be happier and yes I even primed whole boat prior to yellow going on.
There are a few thin spots here and there and I think a second coat will really pull it all together. Tomorrow after work I will be heading back to lay on the second coat and let that cure. After this come the stripes!
Rick, Thanks for all the help. And just so you know Wifey likes it!

Mudball, Whatever I can help you with just please ask.
Its all good.
Russ, YEAH ME TOO!
I cant believe I just took 30 dollars of primer and 30 dollars of paint and shot my boat YELLER!
Like I said bro, Tomorrow, finish with a second coat.
Then back on Tuesday to peel.
Wed/thurs tape and shoot some graphics, Then Fri same thing.
Then weekend hopefully time to clear after 3d work on the stripes with the airbrush.
Im going to bring the stripes onto the dash area and down the console by the drivers feet and up the sides of the gunwales!
This is going to be really cool!
Bolster seats and gunnel pads are going to get some yeller and some purple in them as well.
Have yet to find some orange marine vinyl so I guess that will sort of go by the way side unless I use some fabric paint (dont know if that will hold up in the elements, might try a small spot first.
Engine hatch will go on after all this is done and cleared.
The mirrors and neon tubes are all set and ready to go.
Have to get my clear lexan from Ricks house and airbrush the flames on them and get them mounted up under the hatch over the mirrors.

Thanks guys (and Mrs Speedwake)
Felt good to make some progress but will feel even better when I am done.
This is not the most complicated thing in the world to do but MAN the amount of hours that goes into this is insane.
about 40 hrs of sanding so far and about 1 hr of shooting primer/silver/yellow and IM NOT EVEN HALF DONE yet!
Guys that paint for a living, Hats off to you.
This is some really tedious work.
Its really satisfying to know that it is coming together right in front of your eyes.
This is the one thing that creates a huge drastic change rather quickly.

sandpaper and a palm sander!
No it was pretty clean but where the damn BAJA sticker was on the back, the gel was harder under the sticker than on the outside of it so when we sanded it off, the outline of the sticker is higher than the gel of the sides of the boat so you still see it.
with the ball and flames and stuff , whole outline of it you can see clear as day up close.
Everything else came off and got covered up nicely.
Like I said I have to do a second coat which will be tonight.
after that is all done and cured Im going to sand the whole boat with 1000 grit (wet) and then apply the graphics stripes.
Do I have to prime before I put the graphics colors down or can I just shoot right over the yellow?
Anyone know this?

Jay, did you have to repair any dock rash or anchor nicks? If so, what product are you using?
Cuda, I have used this 3M filler and think it works great for fairing nicks and gouges. It sands very nicely and its a blue color so you can see it. I've never had it pop or peal off. You can get it at West marine.

Only bad stuff on my boat is the rubrail.
Baja through bolts the rub rail and you cant get to it in most spots so taking it off would be impossible.
I hemmed and hawed about painting it and I finally decided to NOT paint it
