Ive know Roger Purdy and his brother Mike for a long time.. And their dad before he passed away.. Havent hung out with them in awhile tho.. We did alot of street racing with mike back in the day with his Nova and our hoopties... Even spent the night outside the impound yard with Mike when he refused to let the car out of his site when we got busted racing in Chatsworth..
:D :laugher: :laugher: :laugher:

Those were the days......

I will see what i can do to make it happen! Its afamily trip, so getting away from the wife and kids so early in the week may be tough, but i'll see what i can do.. it would be nice to follow someone around down there.. I was down there once in July, and followed some small fishin boat buddies around, but they didnt understand i need like 5' of water! :confused1
Coming from the delaware river, where i never see less than 45 feet of water when running the channel, its scary running in the bay...

Im sure we crossed paths in the past then!
I was a poor boy, so i didnt have anything much to race, but hung with my friends that did.. Mike purdys nova was sic for back then.. tubbed, chute on the back, etc.. nice paint, kinda a baby blue-ish.. Maybe you remember the car.. and the car i usually wrenched on and rode in was a black, tubbed 70 GTO... and then we had a bunch of 5.0 buddies with us, etc...

Wasnt the toms river spot Airport Road or something like that.. I remember there, but we always got run off pretty quickly.. Chatsworth was the best.. The Staties would show up and just tell us to get lost.. no ball busting... Its the locals in the other area towns that usually gave us the hassle..

Remember the starting line guy with the Red light-Green light starting line Gizmo?! That was pretty cool..

I tried to figure out if there is a possibility of getting my 21' Baja footage on my computer so I could post some footage. With my lack of computer skills I see no way to get the footage from the old tape to the puter so a "bootleg" video from my big screen TV is the only option I see. The quality will be chit, but if someone wants to see a chitty video of a micro running near 100 MPH I will put it up. Here are some picts of the boat including one of the GPS recall after a day of running. Not my best day, but a good one. My best day was 98.6, but you will have to take my word because I have no photos or proof.

TD something like this will go a long way in proving your speed claims. Digital cameras are cheap and easy to use!!

Nice photoshop job.......

KIDDING! :laugher: :laugher: :laugher:

That's fast!

Hey, my boat isn't fixed yet (soon), but I have a digital camera and camcorder and my family is in Somerspoint, NJ near Ocean City. I'd love to shoot a video of some fast boats and could make it down there. My Cousin's Hatteras is the Jersey Gypsy II.

My boat has a blown BBC and a Bravo, but I'm sure TD would still blow by me :D

Yeah, lots. I used to have a 21 ' Wellcraft elite that I just sold this year, and now I have the Andretti. Too bad I blew a piston in the 454 early this season, and have spent the rest of the summer getting it rebuilt. I will hopefully be test driving the boat with the new motor this upcoming week at Blue Marsh.

Sorry about your trouble, hope it works out.I go on Mondays sometimes.I work Saturdays and Sunday is always busy there. My restaurant is about 45 mins from the lake.Maybe I will see you there sometime.

What kind of boat do you have? I know where the carriagehouse is, I'm always looking for a new place to eat... I'll have to check it out.

I agree, weekends on Blue Marsh aren't even worth going...
