well for one thing today!
Karen and I went to Long Giland this morning to meet that guy who owns the flag boat . Yours truly pulled him through the keyhole this week and he still had some skin left on his body so I figured the boat was worth the trip and boy was it worth it. Looks great, sounds great, runs great, is great. Karen and I were very impressed.
Then we took a ride three hours north to Ct to see the 2000 in this post.

Is it just me or when you make arrangements to go look at a boat do you expect someone to have it clean and presentable. Karen and I arrived after spending three hours in traffic jams on I95 to find the filthiest, most hacked up Top Gun I've ever seen. I couldn't believe that a boat could get so bad looking in just two years but I was wrong. Scratches in the paint, stereo ripped out, filthy bilge, tons of dirt everywhere you looked, rusted steering wheel, parts missing...I mean this boat was pathetic. I think they were using this as their spare parts (donor) boat.
How long do you think it could have taken the dealer to move the trailer it was on inside the warehouse out from between two other boats that were about 1 foot away on either side so we could see the thing? Or how long do you think it would have taken to take a hose to the thing and wash off the accumuated dirt so we wouldn't have gotten filty just climbing on board. I think all of that would have taken about 1 hour. The boat showed promise under the layers of dirt, but they didn't even care enough about my business to clean it off.
This boat will not be cruising the Chesapeake Bay with yours truly at the helm and when the salesman calls later this week (and he will after he has not heard from me) I will tell him that if they every expect to do business with me they should have at least shown a little respect and take a few minutes to clean off a boat after a customer had driven 3 hours to see it.
I told the guy with the 1996 Top Gun with Stars & Stripes graphics he had a deal as we were driving home tonight.
