Where do you guys in the sunshine state get the pink stuff to winterize your boats?

Just saw this on the news!

Temperatures in many areas of northern Florida dropped into the 20s early today, following the 30-degree temperatures some northern parts of the state saw Wednesday. Cross City was 20. Farther south, Orlando was 31 and it was 39 in Miami. Snow flurries were reported near the Daytona Beach coastline, the first in Florida since 2006.

When I lived in Destin we would get nights in the 20's at least a few times a year. It is Friggin freezing! when it is like that there, with the wet wind blowing, brrr.

My Mom is in Pensacola, she closed up the storm shutters last night, lol.

It is a serious problem, especially for people who live near poverty down there, they don't really have heat.

Somebody needs to call Al Gore and have him explain this!
I tried, but he's runnin' so much damn electricity that you can't talk over the hum. Sounded like a damn vibrator next to the phone. Hmmm. Maybe it was.
:laugher: :laugher: :laugher:

BTW: 20's is shortsleeve weather to us this time of year. :D

Still getting the influence of the water here at the house. The TV weather report has the temp this morning at the airport to be 17 degrees. My very accurate outdoor reading at the house is 21 degrees, very typical spread this time of the year.

When I leave the house the temperature reading in the truck will confirm the outdoor reading I get with my outdoor equipment.

I drive a couple miles up the road (away from the water) and the temperature will be 3 to 5 degrees colder!

The opposite happens in summer.

Love living on the water! :p:

I'm in MS......I usually just pull the block plugs.......usually it's 4 total. We've had a few nights of below freezing temps.....but it's not too bad. I guess it all depends on how long the boat is going to be sitting. For me it's a few months.....which is why I just pull the plugs so no water is left in to freeze. Then come late Feb/ early March I'll put em back in and fire it up.
